Samsung Galaxy J6 :The budget phone |
Samsung recently launches Galaxy J6 along J8, A6, A6+ in India, But J6 became the main highlight because of low price and its features, J6 can be said a mini version of Galaxy S9 without Glass back and Dual camera. Samsung’s Galaxy J-series has been a popular choice among budget shoppers. This time though, the company is giving its popular series a major facelift announced today in the form of the Galaxy J6 and new Galaxy J8, which will come to the market later. The new Samsung Galaxy J6 has a big 5.6-inch HD+ display.
it doesn’t have quite the same level of specifications as high-end smartphones of today, but the Galaxy J6 seems to be a reliable phone you would expect from Samsung. Here are my first impressions of Samsung Galaxy J6.
Design And Display:
The phone is a bit different then other phones in this category, there is no use of glass at back instead they use polycarbonate back.J6 has 18.5:9 display which is larger than previous one J5 which has 16:9 Display, battery is not-replaceable and USB port on bottom of phone and audio jack is still there.
J6 has a mono speaker which is located at top of phone and Fingerprint sensor is at the back of phones it has 256 GB sd-card support if you want to expand memory.
Samsung Galaxy J6’s display is the highlight of the phone. The HD+ (720 x 1440) Super AMOLED screen is sharp and colourful. Since this is an Infinity display, naturally it is better for watching videos. Though keep in mind that in the same price bracket, the Honor 9 Lite has a slightly better screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080, FHD+.
Samsung Galaxy J6: Performance, battery
Samsung Galaxy J6 Has an octa-core Samsung's own Exynos 7870 processor, which is paired with either 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB internal storage. This is not a powerful processor by any means but should be good enough to run all basic apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. For gamers out there, don’t expect much though. You won’t be able to play high demanding games, but I found the phone was capable of running Temple Run 2 without any issues.
J6 has a Decent battery backup of 3000 mAh which can last up to one day.
Samsung Galaxy J6: Camera
Galaxy J6 uses a single 13MP rear camera. Logically, the phone should have come with a dual-camera, which is a hot favourite among the smartphone manufacturers. For the money, though, the quality of the photographs aren’t that bad. In bright light, I was able to capture decent shots with an impressive amount of detail and colours.
It has 8 MP front camera with face recognition feature, but in low light camera struggles a lot.
Samsung Galaxy J6: Software
The Galaxy J6 runs Android 8.0 Oreo and as expected, with other Samsungs's App like Galaxy apps Galaxy mall, the phone comes with a whole new interface.
My Review:
Phone is awesome at this price,it gives tough fight to Redmi and Asus, the display is the main highlight, but one minus point is about camera,Samsung should have to give Dual camera, as other Brand's phone has Dual camera in this price range, you can purchase if you are on a decent budget, if you are buying J6 for camera then I will not recommend you, but for movies and gaming this is awesome and you just go for it.
